Wanda Jackson Singer Songwriter.. Rockabilly Queen - December 9th, 2019
Wanda Lavonne Jackson (born October 20, 1937) is a retired American singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist who had success in the mid-1950s and 1960s as one of the first popular female rockabilly singers, and a pioneering rock-and-roll artist. She is known to many as the "Queen of Rockabilly" or the "First Lady of Rockabilly".
She had a resurgence in popularity in the 1980s among rockabilly revivalists in Europe and younger Americana fans. In 2009, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the category Early Influence.

The Queen of Rockabilly signed my Vintage Fender Telecaster...how cool is that?

Hi Everybody,
I just got back home and saw my most recent success. I sent out a letter, SASE and photographs to rockabilly ledgend Wanda Jackson a few weeks before Thanksgiving and today I came home and here it was. She signed the two photographs and then sent her own 5 x 7 which she personalized to me and my wife. My dad and I used to listen to her records all the time, so this one is quite special to me.
