Eileen Whelan (RTE News) - Pioneering Success! - January 23rd, 2014 Eileen Whelan is an Irish news anchorwoman and sometimes reporter who often hosts news bulletins on Ireland's RTÃ. Like many of RTÃ's top news staff, she began her career in radio news before joining the TV news division. She often hosts either the Six-One or Nine O' Clock news bulletins. She is a 'relief presenter', who fills in for the regular presenter on certain days.
