Success! Today I got my letter back from Pirates great Dick Groat with autographed photos. I sent a LOR and SASE to the address in the database.
I mailed my request out on March 23, 2020, and got it back 4/1/2020.

Dick Groat Baseball - 2020年1月4日
Richard Morrow Groat (born November 4, 1930 in Wilkinsburg, PA) is a former two-sport athlete best known as a shortstop in Major League Baseball. He played for four National League teams, mainly the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals, and was named the league's Most Valuable Player in 1960 after winning the batting title with a .325 average for the champion Pirates. From 1956 to 1962 he teamed with second baseman Bill Mazeroski to give Pittsburgh one of the game's strongest middle infields.

Got response 8/24/19 (26 days). Index card returned, signed in blue marker. Somehow, the envelope and index card got wet/moist/damp, and the Cardinals and Pirates logos got smeared. Bummed about that, but Mr. Groat's auto wasn't effected, so I got pretty lucky.
