Barry Gibb Success!! - May 2nd, 2015
Today I got my autograph request back from Barry Gibb.
I mailed a letter complete with a SAE (self-addressed envelope) with a picture, a letter and an IRC TTM (through the mail) on December 7th of last year.
The first photo was signed but the second one was returned with the pieces of paper mentioned in the previous Barry Gibb feedbacks.
- One request only per fan
- Repeat requests will not be honored so other fans can be accommodated
- IRC (International reply coupons) are no longer valid yet the USPS is still supposed to honor them since they're a member of the UPU (Universal Postal Union)
I mailed requests to Eric Close and Enrique Murciano (both from Without a Trace) and another one to Richard Marx last month so perhaps I'll get some more responses from the US. In the meantime, I'll catch up on my domestic successes here in Germany as well.

I sent LOR, three 3r photos, IRC, and self-addressed envelope. I received all photos back in my envelope with a few strips of paper with notes on them. They said that IRCs are no longer valid in the USA. I am not aware of this since I just bought a couple of IRCs May last year and they have an expiration date of December 31, 2017. (Looked it up and found ###://pe.usps.com/text/imm/immc3_020.htm:this page on USPS.) Now, I'm worried about all those I sent last year and the ones I still have (I guess other countries still accept IRCs). A second note said that repeat requests will not be entertained to accommodate other fans. The last note said only one item per request please. I sent three. One was for my mom as he is her favorite, the SNL screencap and "Hawks" movie was for me. (Sorry Mr Gibb ^.^')
I wrote a letter to him about the film he wrote, Hawks, starring Timothy Dalton, Anthony Edwards, Janet McTeer, and Camille Coduri. The film was in 1988 and is only available via VHS. I was hoping the film would be released on DVD. It's a very beautiful film. Do check it out on YouTube as it's there.
