"The Middle" Double Success: Neil Flynn and Atticus Shaffer! - November 1st, 2011
Happy Halloween to me! What a great success, Im going to be grinning about this all week...
On October 15, 2011, I wrote to Neil Flynn and Atticus Shaffer, who play Mike and Brick Heck on "The Middle." (I also wrote to Charlie McDermott, who plays Axl, but Im still waiting to hear from him.) They were separate letters, but sent at the same time. I sent each a LOR and a SASE.
On October 31, 2011, I got a wonderful signed and personalized photo from each of them, along with a letter from each answering some of the questions I asked in their letters, in my SASEs. So excited, and so flattered that they would take the time from their lives to write to me!

Atticus Shaffer"the Middle" success!!!! - July 7th, 2011
Wrote a detailed letter of how much I loved the show..especially young Atticus and his acting style.I think he's just AMAZING on the show and if you watch this kid in interviews..etc.he's just a very smart and mature young man.I sent a in depth letter,(small..4x6sase),and index card for him to sign 6/8/11,recieved back on 7/3/11-one 8x10 inscribed photo that read Hi Jimbo! your pal,atticus,and a letter that read.."Hi jimbo!I was really glad to recieve your letter to me!I wanted to write to you to thank you for your letter and your wonderful comments.I think my favorite episode(so far) is the one with Betty White, too.I also wanted to say that i really enjoyed your drawing on the envelope!It reminds me of my mom's drawings!Again thank you for your wonderful letter and I hope all is well for you...Your pal,Atticus/ This kid is just adorable and I love that he's so good to his fans!it made my day reading his letter back for sure.you can tell he reads his mail personally and thats just very cool.sorry the pic sucks but scanners down and had to use the cell phone cam...not great quality here's the pic

Sent Mr. Shaffer LOR, SASE and 2 photos(one previously signed by Betty White) to "The Middle" address in database on 2-20-11. Received both photos back signed plus one extra on 3-08-11.

What?: A signed and personalized 8x10 photo, and a signed birthday card!! (my birthday was a few days after I wrote him, so I told him when it was!) He even included a piece of cardboard so it wouldnt bend!!
