Anthony James character actor - February 17th, 2015 Anthony James (born July 22, 1942) is a retired American actor. He specialized in creepy, sleazy villains in films and television, many of them Westerns. His first major role was as Ralph, the diner counterman, in the 1967 classic Oscar-winning movie In the Heat of the Night, which co-starred Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger. His last film role to date has been in Clint Eastwood's 1992 Oscar-winning western, Unforgiven which starred Clint Eastwood.
