William Peter Blatty is an author who is best known for his horror novels, most notably his 1971 book The Exorcist. He also wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation for which he won an Academy Award in 1973.
He returned the photo I sent him signed in my SASE in 17 days.

I wrote to Mr. Blatty at the address in the database. I sent a lor, picture and sase. Sent about a week ago and recieved today! Very excited, even though the picture looks like it is faded and damaged a little. Mr. Blatty is the author of The Exorcist!
